This 2013 Porsche Boxster S was modified under prior ownership in the style of a RUF 3800S, reportedly at a cost of over $30k, and RUF-sourced components noted to have been installed during the build include a valved exhaust system, revised suspension components, 20″ five-spoke wheels, and revised front and rear bumper covers for the Basalt Black Metallic-finished bodywork. Indicating 20k miles, the car is powered by a 3.4-liter flat-six paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transaxle, and additional appointments include the Convenience and Infotainment packages as well as a black soft top, an RUF-sourced carbon-fiber front lip spoiler and rear diffuser, bi-xenon headlights with PDLS, Carrera Red natural leather-trimmed heated seats, and a Bose sound system. Purchased in 2020 by the seller, who is the third registered owner, this 981 Boxster S is now offered with a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.
The Basalt Black Metallic-finished bodywork has a carbon-fiber front lip spoiler, a carbon-fiber rear diffuser, and revised front and rear bumper covers, all components reportedly sourced from RUF, and the former of which was replaced under current ownership. Further exterior details include a power-retractable black soft top, bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and side air intakes. XPEL paint-protection film covers the front-half, and the Carfax report shows damage in October 2025 that resulted in damage to the front-left bumper cover, which was refinished along with repairing the left fender. RUF-sourced suspension components and RUF 20″ five-spoke wheels are said to have been installed during the modification process, and the wheels are mounted with Michelin tires that show date codes from 2020 and 2021. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs with red-painted Porsche-branded calipers.
The cockpit features heated seats upholstered in Carrera Red natural leather along with a color-coordinated dash, center console, and door panels. Interior amenities include navigation, a CD stereo, a Bose sound system, a wind deflector, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline as well as a 190-mph speedometer and a digital display. The digital odometer indicates 20k miles, approximately 3k of which were added during current ownership.
The 3.4-liter flat-six is located behind the passenger compartment and was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transaxle. A valved exhaust system from RUF has been fitted, and various fluids and filters were replaced in June 2023.
